Taylor + Chris | Private Residence in Montgomery, Alabama | Becky’s Brides

When Taylor first contacted us regarding her wedding, we knew it was going to be fabulous.  She was in the very beginning stages of planning a stunning fall wedding at her parent’s new estate in Tallassee, Alabama, a small town right outside of Montgomery.  We LOVE weddings at private residences because they are always so unique and personal, and Taylor and Chris’s wedding was no exception.

We faced a couple of challenges throughout the process with Taylor’s wedding: Taylor and Chris live in San Diego, so she was planning long distance.  Taylor’s parents were doing major renovations to the home where Taylor and Chris were getting married (these renovations literally weren’t complete until the day before the wedding!).  And finally once wedding weekend arrived, Mother Nature was not kind to us.  But despite these challenges Taylor and Chris got married with the most beautiful intimate wedding full of luscious flowers and heartfelt moments, and everything was absolutely perfect.

Taylor is a lifestyle blogger (check out her amazing blog here), and aesthetics was high on her list of priorities.  She loved neutral colors with lots of pink and gold accents.  She’s a girl after my own heart!  Another thing that I loved about Taylor’s wedding wish list was that she really wanted to keep her wedding intimate.  With a guest list of less than 60, that allowed us to use her budget to really incorporate some fabulous details.

There were SO many beautiful details that it’s really hard to pick a favorite.  The stunning fireplace where Taylor and Chris became husband and wife that Southern Posies adorned with so many beautiful blooms and candles.  The champagne flutes with floral charms that welcomed guests to the reception.  The seating chart that included a pressed flower display with place cards written in gold calligraphy and attached with wax seals.  The stunning head table.  And the wedding cake that included the lyrics to Taylor and Chris’s first dance in gold calligraphy.  Every detail of Taylor and Chris’s wedding was thoughtful and intentional and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out!

Taylor, you were an absolute JOY to work with!  Thank you so much for trusting us with the most important day of your life so far.  It was an honor to celebrate you and Chris on your wedding day, and I can’t wait to see where your marriage takes you.  Cheers to many years of love and happiness!
