Real Wedding Series | Norma and Burton | Vintage Inspired Wedding

Three things. Coral and earthy floral, lace, and the cutest little vintage coffee shop nestled right in the heart of Avondale, an up and coming revamp project of an antique Birmingham town. What do these have in common? These three things were the ideal combination for our sweet couple, Norma and Burton, to wrap their wedding day dreams around. This wedding was everything but traditional, and we thoroughly enjoyed every single aspect. Norma’s vintage inspiration shown bright throughout her dream day, and we had so much fun celebrating such a perfect couple. Hothouse Design Studio was epic in incorporating their unique touch and assisting Norma with bringing her dreams to life. AL Weddings captured the day beautifully and we are so pleased with the end result.
Let us introduce you to Norma and Burton:

 

These two were truly a match made in heaven. Just being around them brought out the romantic warm and fuzzies you would get from a sweet, romantic comedy. If anyone was ever truly made for one another, these two were.

Norma started her day being pampered by the magnificent Jackie Robinson and her team at Rawwbeauty. This is one fun place to be primped and polished, and (oh, my word!) Norma was one stunning bride.

Norma and Burton loved the vintage charm of The Nest, and seeing that The Abbey coffee shop was directly across the street, our couple turned this sweet shop into the perfect wedding ceremony location. Although The Abbey had never hosted a wedding before, we are proud to say this quaint coffee shop saw it’s first marriage union thanks to Norma and Burton. It was nothing short of perfect.

Have you ever seen food trucks at a wedding? Up until now we haven’t had them at any of our brides’ weddings, but (oh, my goodness!) what a fun way to host a party! If you didn’t know, one of Becky’s Brides girls’ favorite things is a good food truck so we were definitely in food heaven.

The Nest was decorated so adorably, and one of our favorite aspects of the décor was the oversized pinwheels that Norma meticulously worked together. Hothouse Design Studio provided the table décor, complete with unique florals in the quaintest apothecary bud vases. Our personal fave was their lovely cake topper.

Norma and Burton kept the guest list small, and they had an intimate reception where they partied the night away. It is always a joy to see such sweet friendships and the bonds people hold while they are celebrating dear friends.

We had an amazing night with a truly precious couple. Thank you, Norma and Burton, for the opportunity to celebrate with you!
