Becky's Brides is a Birmingham, Alabama based wedding planning studio creating joyful weddings full of Southern hospitality. Thanks for stopping by.
Partying into the night with a fun couple is one thing, but partying into the New Year with one is surely a stellar perk of being a Wedding Planner. Becky’s Brides was thrilled when Veronica and Burton wanted to go big and bold for their New Year’s Eve wedding. A palette of audacious colors, feathers, and droves of silver and gold metallics (and we cannot forget the sequins) is definitely high on our list of a wonderful way to throw a party. Andy Hopper with KG Designs made sure that the ambience wasn’t anything less than magnificent. We want to thank Du Castel Photography for capturing the day magically.
Meet Veronica and Burton:
Our day began at the historic Tutwiler Hotel in downtown Birmingham where our wedding party shared in a fun day together getting ready for one of their best’s best day. One aspect of weddings is seeing the friendships that our brides have in their lives. You can tell a lot about someone by the people they hang around, and this bridal party was a phenomenal group of ladies. We know Veronica is one lucky lady being surrounded by so many amazing people.
Veronica did not see her stunning bouquet, perfectly designed by Andy Hopper of KG Designs, until her precious groom presented it to her during their first look.Veronica has a very dear relationship to her brother, and she had a first look with him as well. It was such a precious expression of the bond between two siblings.
Veronica and Burton were married at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church where they exchanged their vows during the traditional Maronite wedding ceremony called the Mystery of Crowning.
Bridgestreet Gallery and Loft in downtown Birmingham was the venue where Alabama’s newest married couple would party the night away. What an amazing party it was! Every detail about the night was absolutely exceptional. From A+ food to music and design, every last detail was perfect, and it will definitely be a New Year celebration that will be remembered for years to come. Veronica and Burton’s family surprised this sweet couple with a live artist to paint their reception. This was such a unique addition because it added a fun entertainment factor for her guests as well as a beautiful masterpiece which will be a great memory for Veronica and Burton for years to come. Magic Muffins did a phenomenal job designing the signature bridal cake. The emblem throughout Veronica and Burton’s decor was inspired by Veronica’s engagement ring. This design was on everything – invitations, programs, cake, bar, favors – and within so many details in between. Empress Stationery designed the Invitation Suite and it was a showstopper. If you look close, you will see the signature wedding emblem.
Here is a glimpse of our favorite details, which, let’s be honest, we loved ALL of the details.
It was an honor being a part of this amazing couple’s big day. Thank you, Veronica and Burton, for allowing Becky’s Brides ring in the New Year with you!
