When I first met Liz and her sweet mom I knew what an adventure it was going to be to plan Liz’s wedding. Turns out, Liz’s mom taught Tammy and David’s (owners of Autumn Ridge) children in grade school – what a small world! After touring Autumn Ridge and realizing this sweet connection, Liz decided that Autumn Ridge was where she would plan her dream wedding.
Liz had a spectacular vision that we managed to pull off – Liz’s wedding was like no other wedding that has ever been at Autumn Ridge. Liz and Nick’s ceremony took place in front of the columns with a breathtaking view of the mountains. Liz went with a lilac color palette, accented with whites and a bit of green. She was inspired by Bella and Edward’s wedding from the Twilight series, which I absolutely loved. Designer Glenn from Dorothy McDaniel’s Flower Market used grapevine and beautiful white and purple blooms to give the columns a natural look. He lined the aisle with white rose petals and large wrought iron lanterns. The ceremony site was absolutely breathtaking.
Typically receptions at Autumn Ridge are held inside, but because Liz and Nick had 290 guests attend their wedding, this wasn’t really a feasible option. Liz had always dreamed of having a tented reception anyway, and luckily Autumn Ridge has plenty of room. Top Notch Events provided the rentals to make this happen. Liz stuck with her lilac theme with beautiful white linens with a lilac overlay provided by Decor to Adore. Glen continued with the natural theme throughout the reception with wrought iron lanterns and wrought iron candelabras. Design Productions provided amazing lighting – wrought iron chandeliers and amazing patterns throughout the front of the beautiful house. We were so lucky that the wedding turned out to absolutely beautiful to further perfect this amazing day. Guests enjoyed delicious food by Happy Catering, spectacular cakes from Olexa’s, and they danced the night away with entertainment provided by one of the best wedding bands I’ve ever heard – Six Stylez, booked through Sam Hill Entertainment.
Liz and Nick, it was SUCH a pleasure working with you to pull together such a fabulous wedding. Thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of it!
With many thanks to David Shirk of Unplugged Photography for these photos and to Main Street Productions for the beautiful wedding video!
