Becky's Brides is a Birmingham, Alabama based wedding planning studio creating joyful weddings full of Southern hospitality. Thanks for stopping by.
Brittany and I have been friends since high school – went to college together, bought houses together, adopted our sweet puppies together, do everything together – kind of best friends. For a very long time, I had been praying for God to send a special man for my best friend. When Brittany and Chris met for the first time, I knew my prayers had been answered. Six short months later, Chris asked Brittany to spend the rest of her life with him and immediately after – the wedding planning began!
Planning this wedding was unique not only because Brittany is my best friend, but also because she is an Event Coordinator for Becky’s Brides. She works every single wedding with me – I could never do them without her. With that being said, she has seen a LOT of weddings. Because of that, we both knew exactly what she wanted and were able to pull off a fabulous wedding in only five months!
After visiting a few venues and pouring over the football schedules, Brittany decided that she wanted to begin her life with Chris on a beautiful Fall day at the stunning Autumn Ridge.
We have done quite a few weddings at Autumn Ridge, but there is something even more special about this venue when your best friend chooses to get married there.
Brittany is such a fun person with bubbly personality – and her wedding reflected just that. When working on her flower designs with Dorothy McDaniel’s Flower Market, she knew that she wanted vibrant, colorful flowers. Designer Glen hit an absolute home run – the flowers were exactly what Brittany had been envisioning.
One of the most important things for Brittany and Chris, was that their guests really enjoyed themselves. Brittany knows the key to a fun wedding is delicious food, an excellent drink selection, and amazing entertainment. Echelon catered the reception and Magic Muffins provided a beautiful wedding cake – both the food and cake were spectacular. Onlive played so many amazing songs – the dance floor stayed packed the entire night.
I was absolutely honored when Brittany asked me to stand by her side as her matron of honor, just like she had done for me several years before. Planning a wedding is a lot of fun – but being in them is even more fun! Because I know how much is involved in being in a wedding, I knew that there was no way I could effectively coordinate Brittany and Chris’s wedding and do everything I needed to do as Brittany’s best friend and matron of honor. We met with Rachael Grammer of 2 Hearts Weddings and Events, and we immediately knew that we wanted to work with her. Brittany and I both know how important it is to have an experienced professional manage a wedding day, and we never worried about a single thing with Rachael and her team there to take care of everything. Brittany and Chris, both of their families, and all of their friends were able to completely enjoy the day because Rachael executed a flawless wedding.
Brittany and Chris, I love you both so much. It was an extraordinary honor to be a small part of such a fabulous celebration. I’m looking forward to seeing our friendships grow in the coming years!
