Becky's Brides is a Birmingham, Alabama based wedding planning studio creating joyful weddings full of Southern hospitality. Thanks for stopping by.
Julia and Matt met by chance in Birmingham 5 days before she was leaving for Washington DC for 3 months. She was confident that she would never see him again, but Matt pursued her the entire time, and the rest was history. Several years later Matt asked Julia to spend forever with him on the beach at sunset. Fast forward to their perfect November wedding day that we’re so excited to share with you right now!
Julia is kind, thoughtful, and always full of joy. All of these lovely personality traits shined through during her wedding planning process. Julia’s sister was engaged right around the same time Julia was, so to make sure their weddings weren’t too close, Julia selected a Fall wedding date! With almost 18 months to plan her wedding, we had plenty of time to make sure every detail was absolutely flawless! The entire wedding day was laid-back, fun, and full of joy. My absolute favorite moment of the day was when Julia walked down the aisle to Matt during their first look. Their tears of joy and happiness literally took my breath away.
Julia’s style is timeless and elegant. She chose to get married in her home church of Independent Presbyterian Church – the same church that her sister and mother were both married in. Fall weddings can have so many different color schemes, but Julia chose a classic color palette of blues and ivory with silver accents. I am positive that in 40 years when Julia is looking back on her photos of her wedding day, she will still love everything about her wedding because it will never go out of style!
Aesthetically, everything about Julia and Matt’s wedding was absolute perfection! Two of my favorite details were Julia’s wedding dress and the beautiful head table at the reception. Julia’s dress was absolutely amazing and one of the most unique dresses I’ve ever seen! While the design was absolutely classic – it had a FABULOUS large bow on the back that was so stunning and fashion forward. Another cool thing about her dress was that the train was removable. Perfect for a traditional church ceremony with a celebration to follow! The head table at the reception was definitely was definitely a show stopper.
Congratulations to our sweet newlyweds! We have no doubt that you two will have a loving, lasting marriage. Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part!
Thanks to the amazing vendor team who helped make Julia and Matt’s day so wonderful!
