Best friends. We all have at least one. For some, many. I personally have the most amazing friends. Friends who have stood beside me through the good along with the bad. Through joyful cries along with quite atrocious, ugliest of ugly cries. We have had the honor of spending innumerable moments celebrating together, crying together, partying together, grieving together, attempting to steal random highway signs together (thankfully, we realized those highway signs were not worth a night in jail in a particularly unflattering shade of orange), laughing together, driving around singing the same song over and over and over again, and binge watching Netflix together. The great thing about all of these things? Having someone to be the other part of my together.
So today, lets take some time to honor those ladies who stand beside you through all of the moments of your life. The girls, who no matter what, are with you, have your back, and most importantly, will proudly stand beside you the day you marry your new “honorary” best friend (as we all know, no one can replace your B.F.F.). Your bridesmaids.
We wanted to have fun this week, so here are a few fun tips on how to be a fabulous bridesmaid:
1) A fabulous bridesmaid is supportive.
Be honest. Be available. Be inquisitive. Be classy. Be her cheerleader. Be dependable. Be the friend you would want by your side. After all, a fabulous bridesmaid remembers this day is not about her.
2) A fabulous bridesmaid protects her bride from unneeded drama.
Let’s face it, weddings bring out a lot of emotions. Good, bad, and unfortunately, sometimes ugly emotions. Wedding day is not the day to point out the negative, in anything. Fabulous bridesmaids know how to help alleviate unneeded stress from her bride, ensuring her day will be remembered as the best day. Ever.
3) A fabulous bridesmaid knows when to give her bride some space.
Wedding days are the most amazing days, but please know, they often times come packed with invisible suitcases packed full of raw emotion. Knowing when to give your bride space is a imperative to being a fabulous bridesmaid.
4) A fabulous bridesmaid is on time.
Punctuality is a key factor to having a successful wedding day. Play your part in the process by making sure that you are not the reason the day gets behind schedule.

5) A fabulous bridesmaid keeps the party going, even in the unfortunate event that it gets awkward.
Weddings are a celebration, but sometimes during the reception, the party begins to die before the bouquet is tossed. Fabulous bridesmaids have no trouble doing a fierce Whip Nae Nae, the Cupid Shuffle, a little twist and shouting, getting as low, low, low, low, low, low, low as she gracefully can (remembering #1 and keeping it classy), or whatever is needed when the going gets tough, or awkward, so to speak.
Now, text your B.F.F. and let her know you are thinking about her.
