In all the hustle and bustle of wedding planning, we find it’s easy to forget to sit back and soak in your engagement. It seems like all you do is talk about the wedding, and maybe neglect your groom just the tiniest bit. While we are sure that he truly does want whatever you want, it’s always nice to let your fiancé take on a few wedding tasks of his own! We find that grooms-to-be take their job, however small it may be, very seriously. While you create a checklist of your own, hand over some projects to your favorite guy. Here are a few simple ways to keep your man involved in the planning process-
- Music – We believe that music is a huge part of your wedding day. There is literally music all day. Picking out the pre-ceremony music, ceremony music and reception music can be a daunting task! Split this task up with your fiancé and let him take some of that stress off your shoulders. He might interested in choosing some receptions songs or maybe he wants to pick out the pre-ceremony music. Talk it over with your groom-to-be and see what works best for you both!

- DIY Project – If your guy is a handyman, there’s no better project to give him than something he can build. From a ceremony site backdrop, to a wooden sign-in “book”, give your man the option to build whatever his heart desires. Not only will it keep him involved in the wedding, he’ll also be able to do something he enjoys! As a result, you can check one more task off your list!

- Groom’s Cake – This may seem like an obvious task but more and more brides-to-be are taking on the groom’s cake. The groom’s cake is an easy way to let him have a say on what he would like for his own special piece of your wedding day! Try not to get stuck on the “cake” part. We’ve seen candy bars, cookies, cheesecakes and donuts just to name a few! Let his groom’s cake truly reflect his personality and we promise he’ll be happy to be a part.

- Transportation – It’s no secret that men love cars! Giving him the task of picking transportation for your big day will keep him involved in all the wedding planning fun. If you need a party bus for your friends and family or if you just need a getaway car, let your man know what he needs to do and don’t think twice about it! (Birmingham brides, send your grooms to Rare Transportation, Coats Classic Cars and Rob Conrad’s Classic Cars to pick out transportation you’re both sure to love!)
