2017 Wedding Trends | Becky’s Brides

It’s hard to believe we are wrapping up our 2016 weddings! 2017 brides are in full-planning mode and new trends are on the horizon. We love staying up-to-date on wedding trends and we are going to share with you some of our favorites! 2017 is going to be an awesome year for some truly unique and stunning weddings.

Cathedral Trains & Veils

It looks like bridal wear is going to take a step back in time as many brides are looking for breathtaking trains and veils. While 2016 may have been the year of the simple and beautiful boho bride, 2017 seems like it may be about more classic, timeless and dramatic bridal wear. This is one trend we are so excited about and can’t wait for one of our beautiful brides to try!

Metallic Takeover

We can confidently say we’ve seen countless brides incorporate gold into their weddings more than ever in 2016. Gold makes everything look more elegant and makes for a cohesive color palette. While gold and silver are definitely here to stay, it seems as though other metallics are about to take over in 2017. Brushed metallics like rose gold bring a modern yet understated pop of color when mixed in with ivory and white. We can’t wait to work on a design plan with these fun metallics!

Vintage and Romantic

Something about these two words make our hearts flutter. We have loved the vintage trend of 2016 and it look like we’re carrying it over into 2017! A new element to a vintage and romantic vision board? High drama. Brides want the “wow” factor more than ever! As a result, we are sure to see some amazing ideas come to life in 2017.

Pantone 2017

The 2016 Pantone wedding colors (Rose Quartz and Serenity) were frequently used by our 2016 brides and we thought they were stunning! The fashion Pantone colors for 2017 have been released and they are very vibrant and bright. We have a feeling that same palette might carry over into their wedding colors for 2017! 2016 was about the blushes and neutrals and 2017 will be bold and vivid colors that pop.

We always encourage our brides to have the wedding day they’ve always envisioned, even if they don’t match up with the trends.
