Best of 2017 | Becky’s Brides

It’s hard to believe that we have officially wrapped up 2017 and are in full swing of planning with our amazing 2018 brides! We’re excited to reminisce with you on all the gorgeous weddings from this past year. Please don’t forget to cast your vote for your favorite couple by “liking” their picture in our Facebook album, “Best of 2017”. The winning couple will receive the ultimate Birmingham date night package! This package includes a one night stay at the beautiful Tutwiler Hotel, a mini anniversary photo session with Eric & Jamie Photography at the Tutwiler and dinner at the delicious restuarant, Bottega. Justin and Danielle – April 1 

Justin and Danielle had the perfect wedding day at the beautiful Aldridge Gardens! The sun was shining, the temperature was just right and all the trees were in full bloom. It was a gorgeous day for a gorgeous couple! We especially loved their bright florals designed by Jamie Thompson and their dance floor floral installation by On-Site Productions!

Emily and JP – April 22

Emily and JP exchanged vows at JP’s family plantation in Montgomery, Alabama and it was a fairytale wedding. From their dreamy reception tent to all the perfectly executed details, their day was just as beautiful as this couple! We loved Emily’s vision of having an English garden feel for her big day and incorporating lots of blues and greens. This wedding was truly one for the books!

Chelsea and Phillip – April 29

Chelsea and Phillip are a fun-loving couple who had a fantastic celebration at Bridgestreet Gallery & Loft! You cannot wipe the smile off their faces all day long. They were such a joy to be around! We loved Chelsea’s bright style and of course, their awesome doughnut wall and massive floral wreath by HotHouse Design Studio!

Ellen and Don – May 13

Ellen and Don tied the knot at the beautiful Griffin Farms in May. They are such a kind, charismatic couple who clearly love each other so much! Ellen chose a spunky black sequin gown as a nod to untraditional wedding style. She pulled it off and Don loved it! It was truly a beautiful day.

Bridgett and Robert  – May 27

We always love when we get to travel to Tuscaloosa to celebrate two awesome people tying the knot! Bridgett and Robert shared a gorgeous wedding day with their closest family and friends and we loved being a part of it! How gorgeous is the Robert Jemison mansion with our sweet couple in front of it?!

Heather and Aaron – May 28

These two were honestly so much fun to be around! Our D.C. lovebirds came down to Birmingham to celebrate their wedding day and we were so happy to be apart! Heather and Aaron were so laid-back and clearly overjoyed to finally be husband and wife. Heather wanted bright colors and a show-stopping chandelier to set off her reception at Iron City and it truly did just that!

Ashley and Carlos – June 3

Ashley and Carlos had a gorgeous wedding at Canterbury and the Birmingham Museum of Art. Ashley had a fantastic vision and we ran with it! Her colors and flower choices were some of our favorite of the year! It was truly a beautiful day full of lots of smiles and love, not to mention the vibrant pops of color and a custom Heidi Elnora gown!

Caitlin and AJ – June 24

Caitlin and AJ said “I do” at Southwind Plantation in front of 350 of their closest friends and family! It was a beautiful day and you could tell Caitlin and AJ are just meant to be. A tropical storm blew through right up until their wedding day and the clouds parted just in time for these two to tie the knot. These two are VERY loved and we’re grateful to have been apart of this sweet day!

Shiran and Michael – August 19

These two had a fabulous day full of plenty of sunshine and lots of love. They tied the knot at Temple Emmanuel followed by an incredible celebration at Avon Theatre! Shiran and Michael are some of the sweetest people we’ve met so we loved being with them on such a special day. Our favorite detail had to be the gorgeous chandeliers at the reception by On-Site Productions!

Jessica and Ryan – September 2

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day as Jessica and Ryan became husband and wife at Aldridge Gardens! Every detail was beautiful, including five shimmering chandeliers in the pavilion and a unique floor plan. These two had so much fun celebrating with their friends and family and we were so happy to be a part!

Paige and Joey – September 9

These two lovebirds had a fabulous wedding day at First Presbyterian Church followed by the most fun reception at The Florentine! Paige was such a laid-back bride and Joey was so happy to be married to his high school sweetheart! One of our favorite details of the day was their sweet first look at the Redmont Hotel and Paige’s gorgeous wedding gown.

Haley and Michael – September 16

What a blast we had celebrating these two! They are high school sweethearts and had us in tears as they shared their first look. These two said their vows at Third Presbyterian Church and then celebrated with friends and family at Regions Field. From the floral installation by HotHouse Design Studio to the fireworks, Haley and Michael couldn’t have had a more perfect day!

Emily and Christopher – September 30

These two were hands down some of the sweetest people we’ve met and gotten the opportunity to work with! They had a gorgeous day at Vestavia Country Club that was inspired by Emily’s Chinese culture. Our favorite detail? Their gorgeous hanging cake in front of the beautiful windows in Vestavia’s ballroom!

Gabriella and Philipp – October 1

There’s nothing better than a good Aldridge Gardens wedding! We loved Gabriella and Philipp’s colorful day. These two shared a sweet ceremony down by the lake followed by a fun-filled reception in the pavilion! They were surrounded by their closest friends and family and it was just an all-around wonderful wedding day.

Liz and Jonathan – October 7

Want to meet two of the nicest and most fun human beings ever? Meet Liz and Jon. We loved celebrating them at Asbury United Methodist Church and Greystone Country Club on their big day! These two had a precious first look where they read notes they wrote to each other. We also loved their neutral color palette to ring in the fall wedding season!

Hillary and Ben – October 8

Even though a tropical storm blew through Birmingham on October 8, Hillary and Ben didn’t let that rain on their parade! This Park Crest wedding was one for the books. We loved every detail of this wedding, down to their personalized signage. From the massive floral installation by HotHouse Design Studio to a rose petal canon, their celebration was absolutely fabulous!

Maggie and Abhi – October 14

These two were such a joy to work with! From start to finish, their wedding day was one of the most fun days we’ve had the pleasure of planning. These two were clearly crazy about each other! Maggie had incredible style and we loved seeing her one-of-a-kind vision come to life! Their church ceremony was so beautiful and their reception at Haven was bright and oh so fabulous.

Gabrielle and Matthew – October 14

Gabrielle was the third daughter in the Stewart family that we had the honor of working with. We loved the deep colors she chose for her Aldridge Gardens fall wedding day! These two were such a joy to work with. Our favorite detail? Their show stopping cake display by HotHouse Design Studio and Barb’s Cakes!

Jun and Bert – October 21

Jun and Bert came all the way from San Francisco to tie the knot in sweet home Alabama! We couldn’t be more happy with how beautiful their wedding day turned out. You just couldn’t wipe the smile off their faces all day long! We loved all their sweet and well thought out details as well as their rich and bold color scheme at The Barn at Shady Lane.

Kaleigh and Blake – October 21

We don’t have enough good things to say about this sweet couple. They had a short 5 month engagement and their wedding day was perfect! Kaleigh chose a beautiful neutral color palette that worked so well throughout their whole design at Children’s Harbor and Willow Point Country Club. From the large tent adorned with chandeliers to the sweet first dances, we just wish we could relive their day over and over again!

 

Katie and Tyler – October 28

We had such a blast planning Katie and Tyler’s Faith Presbyterian and Vestavia Country Club wedding. Katie was hands down one of the most laid back brides ever and she was just so excited to be marrying Tyler! Katie trusted us every step of the way! It’s hard to pick our favorite detail but I would have to say it was her show-stopping floor to ceiling champagne display.

Ellen and Jake – October 28

Ellen and Jake’s wedding day was a chilly outdoor wedding at the beautiful Vulcan on top of Birmingham. The fall colors used throughout the wedding design were captivating and perfect for the weather! The day turned out stunning – with a clear top tent and a beautiful floral arbor wreath by HotHouse Design Studio, it just doesn’t get much better!

Julia and Matt – November 18

Julia was seriously a dream bride and we loved working with her on her classic wedding day! From the start, Julia’s main focus was on her marriage and the people who were celebrating her big day with her. We loved the gorgeous floral installation at Bridgestreet and that she chose to get married in the church her parents were married in. Seriously, the sweetest!

Hannah and Michael – December 3

We absolutely loved being a part of Hannah and Michael’s gorgeous wedding at Haven! From the beautiful ceremony filled with beautiful cafe lights to the traditional Vietnamese reception complete with a nine course meal, it couldn’t have been a more perfect day. We especially loved their sweet first dance and their equally as sweet bridal party!

Julia and Juan – December 29

There’s nothing like a sweet December wedding at your home church followed by a fabulous Park Crest reception! That’s exactly the wedding day Julia and Juan shared. From start to finish, this day was just perfect. We especially loved the beautiful colors Julia picked out and how fun and energetic this band, Shimmer, was!
