Taylor + Austin | NorthRiver Yacht Club | Real Wedding

All of our weddings are extraordinarily special, but there’s something even more special when ‘one of your own’ gets married.  Becky’s Brides planner, Taylor and her long time boyfriend-turned-fiance, Austin tied the knot in March at North River Yacht Club in Tuscaloosa.  Being a planner herself, the pressure was on for everything to be perfect.  And this day was nothing, if not perfect.  There were beautiful and heart-felt details and incredibly special moments throughout the entire day.  I’m so excited to finally be able to share Taylor and Austin’s wedding day with you!

Taylor selected a gorgeous lace, long-sleeved, fit and flare dress from Diane’s Formal Affair.  Everything about this dress described Taylor perfectly: beautiful and classic with a trendy flair.  The details on her dress were intricate and stunning.

Taylor selected a jewel-toned color palette to be enhanced with lots of greenery. The gorgeous chiffon bridesmaids dresses in various jewel tones set the stage for her overall wedding design. Her bridesmaids looked beautiful in these dresses!

Taylor kicked off the day at a private lake house with her closest friends and family.  Lots of laughter and a few happy tears took place while all the ladies got dolled up for the big day!  Taylor’s mom helped her get dressed (in the most gorgeous room full of natural light!!  Brides, take note!) before she did the most fun reveal for her bridesmaids!

One of my absolute favorite moments of a wedding day is when brides choose to do a first look with the first man in their lives.  Taylor’s dad is an incredibly kind and fun person, and the first look between these two was so special.  Check out his reaction!  He was so proud to see his little girl as a bride and the beautiful young woman she has become.

My absolute favorite part of the day was Taylor and Austin’s first look.  That look on her face?  Pure. Joy.  Austin said it best, “I’m at a loss for words.”  For the rest of the day, you couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces.

It rained pretty much all day, so the majority of the photos happened inside or under the awning on the patio.  But even a little (actually A LOT) of rain couldn’t ruin this day for these two.  They say it’s good luck for it to rain on your wedding day and if that’s the case, Taylor and Austin have a LOT of good luck coming their way!

The design of Taylor and Austin’s wedding revolved around jewel-tones, her love of greenery, and lots of gold accents.  From the second guests walked up to the entrance of North River Yacht Club, they were greeted with a beautiful entrance of greenery which set the tone for a stunning wedding ceremony and reception.  The greenery and beautiful flowers carried through into the entrance and ceremony.  Guests were well informed with beautiful signage in stunning gold and white calligraphy from Anna Sayers.  My favorite design detail from the ceremony?  The gorgeous candles and greenery lining the aisle that Taylor walked down to become Mrs. Justice!

The thoughtfulness and attention to detail Taylor put into her wedding design was very apparent.  Each table was accented with gold, heavy greenery, beautiful blooms, romantic candlelight, and gorgeous dupioni linens.  The mix of round and rectangular tables gave the floor plan a unique twist.  Her five tier cake was a show-stopper and one of the first things guests caught a glimpse of as they entered the reception.  My favorite reception design element?  The beautiful drapery topped with hanging greenery that lined the entrance and created the perfect frame for her beautiful cake!

Taylor, I am so thankful to have you as such an important part of the Becky’s Brides team, but I am even more thankful that I got to see the beginning of what I am positive will be a beautiful marriage.  It was such a pleasure executing all the fabulous details you worked so hard to plan.  I can’t wait to see you and Austin grow together in marriage for many, many years to come.  I love you guys!
