Season – If you’ve always dreamed of an outdoor wedding and wearing a gorgeous strapless gown, you should definitely avoid a wedding date in January. Your personalities should match your wedding season. Talk it over with your husband-to-be and decide if you’d like to celebrate your wedding indoors while it snows outside, or outside under the warm sun! You’ll be able to nail down a date in no time.
Special Dates – We love a good story about your wedding date. Maybe it’s the anniversary of your first date or your grandparent’s wedding date – if there’s a certain day that’s near and dear to your heart, then you’ve found your date!
Dates to Avoid – Depending on you and your fiancés jobs, there may be some specific dates to avoid. If you’re an accountant for example, you probably don’t want to get married the week before tax day. Also, be sure to run any dates by close family and friends to make sure they’ll be able to attend! It’s your day but you want your best people there to witness it!
Holidays – If you LOVE Christmas, a winter wonderland wedding might just be perfect for you. Maybe your family is Irish and the weekend of St. Patricks Day would be a huge celebration! Some holidays fall on long weekends, like Memorial or Labor day, which might make it easier for out-of-town guests to travel. On the contrary, some guests may not want their holiday weekends attending a wedding, so be sure to consider that as well.
