There’s nothing better than when we get the opportunity to work with the same family as their daughters get engaged! Megan’s sister, Shannon, was our bride in 2013 and we were so excited when Megan contacted us about her own wedding! Megan and her groom, Christian, were so fun to work with and made their wedding completely customized to fit their personalities. These two had great style and we enjoyed every second of their big day! Meet our sweet bride, Megan and her beau, Christian.
They love Birmingham and were excited to keep all the festivities downtown with a wedding at the iconic
Donnelly House, and to include local aspects to their wedding. Megan and Christian had a Birmingham map in their invitation suite, served local beers at their reception, and had Insomnia cookies delivered for a late night treat! These two really knew how to make their guests feel like true Birmingham natives! We love that
w&e photographie captured Christian’s details, too!
Megan and Christian shared the sweetest first look followed by some of the cutest pre-ceremony photos. We love how their personalities truly translated through these pictures! Megan chose for her beautiful bridesmaids to wear a two piece skirt and top from
BHLDN. We love how soft, sweet and delicate this look was! The groomsmen complemented the bridesmaids with their dark suits. What a gorgeous group! Megan and Christian incorporated several sweet and personal touches throughout their wedding day. They opened a bottle of wine and then at their ceremony had a bottle of the same wine to open on their 1 year anniversary and the same bottle of wine to open on their 50th anniversary. Our couple headed off to get a few more photos as guests moved to the reception area!
HotHouse Design Studios knocked it out of the park with the pretty centerpieces and Megan’s favorite, the ribbon wall behind the lounge section! Megan wanted a delicate and simple bridal cake and
O’lexa’s did a fabulous job, as usual! It was as pretty as it was delicious!
One of our favorite moments of the day was when Megan’s dad performed a song he wrote especially for her. It was a complete surprise to Megan and Christian and was just so sweet! There was not a dry eye in the room! The reception was full of lots of dancing, laughter and fun! To top it off,
Insomnia Cookies brought out cookies and milk as a late night dessert. We sent our newlyweds off with sparklers and lots of cheers!
Thank you, Megan and Christian, for allowing us to be a part of your fabulous day! We wish you all of the happiness in the world!
