Mary Claire + Brett | A Civic Center Transformation

Mary Claire was a bridesmaids in two Becky’s Brides wedding, so it was extra exciting when she got engaged and wanted us to plan her big day!  Mary Claire has a joyful spirit that is contagious, and it’s no surprise that everyone loves her.  She and Brett wanted to celebrate with ALL of their family and friends…which meant a guest list of over 600.  To accommodate this size list, Mary Claire and Brett decided to get married at their home church with their reception at the local civic center.

When Mary Claire and I discussed her vision for her wedding her biggest priority was that the reception not look like it was a civic center.  She loved a neutral color scheme, crystal chandeliers, and gold accents.  From a wedding planning perspective, transforming a civic center into something that doesn’t look like a civic center is no easy task, but I love the challenge!  I’ll let these photos speak for themselves.
