Kathleen + Brennan | A Trendy Wedding at Pursell Farms

We have known Kathleen’s family for over a decade because we had the honor of planning both of Kathleen’s sisters weddings.  There is truly nothing more special than being invited back to work with a family again and again.  When Kathleen’s mom contacted us about Kathleen’s wedding we were so excited that it was her turn!  Kathleen and Brennan have the sweetest love story – they previously ‘dated’ in 5th grade and it was so sweet to hear how their paths crossed again later in life. Kathleen loved all the fun details involved with planning a wedding, so this one was extra fun to plan!

Kathleen wanted to keep her wedding neutral with pops of sage and corals/oranges.  Her vision was different than anything we’ve done at Pursell Farms before and it was so fun to do something completely unique just for her.  A few of my favorite design details included flowers growing down the aisle, the scalloped umbrellas sprinkled throughout the ceremony, the flower filled basket accents, the custom sage bar, the rattan details in the chandeliers and place settings, and the vintage inspired wedding cake.  It was a detail filled wedding day!

But one of my absolute favorite moments of the wedding day was a surprise Kathleen planned for her mom.  Her mom had hoped that one of her daughters would want to do something with her wedding dress, but neither of Kathleen’s older sisters chose to do so.  Kathleen worked with a local seamstress to have her mom’s dress made into her ‘party dress.’  The design of the dress fit Kathleen’s vibe perfectly and it was such an incredible moment for Kathleen’s mom to see her youngest daughter in her wedding dress.

Kathleen and Brennan (and Jeanine), it was such an honor to plan your big day with you.  I loved every single detail of your wedding day, but more importantly I loved seeing you two filled with joy as you celebrated the most important thing: the beginning of your marriage.  I saw first hand throughout the planning process how you planned not only for your wedding, but for your marriage, and it was truly inspiring.  I know you two will do wonderful things in your marriage together and I am cheering you on!!  Much love to the The Vedels!!
