Emily + Cody | First Baptist Church of Woodstock | Woodstock, AL

Emily and Cody are one of those couples that you love to be around. Their spirit is just so fun! Our couple had their very first date at a Barons game (and took amazing engagement pictures there) and were married at their home church, First Baptist Church of Woodstock. With the church’s gym under construction at the time of their wedding, this soon became one of the most fun reception site transformations we’ve ever done! Meet our sweet bride, Emily and her groom, Cody.

Emily’s groom gifted her with this beautiful necklace to represent his time spent in the Air Force. We always love a wedding gift with a significant meaning!

The first look between Emily and Cody was one for the books. We’ve never seen such giddiness between two people! These photos truly capture the emotion of the moment.

 Emily fell in love with these blue pastel bridesmaids dresses from Bridesmaids Inc. They were so flattering on her girls! Their gorgeous bouquets by HotHouse brought in the perfect touch of light pink and green. The guys looked so dapper in their dark gray suits!

The ceremony took place inside their church sanctuary and then guests were invited to their reception in the gym close by. As mentioned earlier, Emily and Cody knew their reception had be in their beloved church where they are both heavily involved. Emily’s only request what that the gym looked NOTHING like a gym for their special day! Easy enough right? Well, we had a bit of a surprise when we did a site visit to find that the gym was under construction and wouldn’t be done in time for the wedding.

Design Productions seriously blew us away with this incredible transformation!

We loved the gorgeous cakes by Magic Muffins! The brides cake was a true showstopper adorned in beautiful flowers.

 They sped off to their “happily ever after” in her dad’s vintage car!
