We love when we get to plan the whole weekend for our brides and grooms! We already knew that Cynthia and Brian’s wedding was going to be fabulous, and it was so exciting to get to work with Brian’s parents on a fun and contemporary rehearsal dinner to celebrate the evening before the wedding.
Cynthia and Brian had quite a few guests coming in from out of town, so they wanted to show off the downtown area and host their rehearsal dinner there. After touring several venues, we landed on Canary Gallery – a perfect white, art gallery full of windows. It’s such a beautiful blank canvas and gave us so much freedom with the design. Because their wedding was featuring blacks and whites and golds, we decided to keep that theme but incorporate black and white stripes and a pop of color to play off the all white space of the venue. I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out!
With the darker color linens, we wanted to make sure that the space didn’t become too dark and crowded. We were able to incorporate ghost chairs to pair with the tables which kept the space feeling light and airy. The pops of bright pink flowers brought a modern flair to the space. Guests were greeted with champagne from a beautiful champagne display and found their seats via a stunning black and white stripped display. They enjoyed a plated dinner from Kathy G, and everyone raved about what a delicious meal it was! After dinner and dessert, the guests were treated to the sweetest and funniest toasts given by some of Cynthia and Brian’s closest friends and family. It was a fabulous way to kick off two days of wedding celebrations!
Cynthia and Brian (and Roger and Jane!), thank you for trusting us to plan such a fabulous rehearsal dinner for you all! We loved the way everything turned out, and we are so thankful we got to celebrate you guys TWO nights in a row!
