If you know my husband at all, you know that he loves sports – baseball in particular. So when I mentioned going to a Baron’s game for our next date night, he lit up like a kid on Christmas morning and immediately looked at the schedule. Luckily the Barons were in town on a night we were both free. Our friends Eric and Jamie were free that night as well, so they joined us for a fun double date downtown!
I wanted to try something new and laid back for dinner, and Taylor told me about Cosecha Urban Kitchen. It’s right next to Regions Field (seriously, you can walk to it!) and it’s a great place! Known for it’s Latin American food, it was right up our alley. They offer yummy cheese dip and guacamole along with a great variety of other entrees. Bonus: it’s really cheap! Bonus 2: they also have margaritas!
After dinner, we headed down to Regions Field for the Barons game. It was such a perfect night and the stadium was packed. We LOVE Regions Field! It’s such a nice minor league stadium. Birmingham did such a great job with it! In fact, it was recently voted the best minor league stadium in America, which is cool. It’s so clean and well laid out – and they have lots of great food and drink vendors…including my fave, ice cream. It’s an awesome laid back date night venue. I particularly love going to Baron’s games on Friday nights because they always shoot fireworks after the game. Ice cream AND fireworks…basically the perfect date night.
