I had the honor of working with Amy on her April 30th wedding at
Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Amy was such an amazing bride to work with – fun, creative, easy-going, and organized! What I loved about this wedding was that it was a true reflection of the bride and groom. Amazingly, Amy managed to tackle several DIY projects while planning her wedding all the way from Chicago! Check out some of the details!
Amy & Max had their first look on the red bridge in the Japanese Gardens. One of my favorite things about this venue is all the fabulous locations for photos!
Amy & Max had an amazing wedding party – they were so much fun! I loved that everyone in the wedding party was allowed to pick out their own dress or suit! Definitely something they will be able to wear again in the future.
The ceremony took place in the Hill Garden in front of the lily pond. I love that Amy chose black chairs for the ceremony instead of traditional white. These fit in perfectly with her color scheme.
Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the bridge while being entertained by the string orchestra.
Guest enjoyed dinner in the Hill Garden catered by the fabulous
Iz Catering.
Amy wanted a mixture of the round wrought iron tables and banquet style tables for the reception, which created a beautiful contrast. Another amazing DIY project – these awesome table squares!
Several heartfelt toasts were given, including one by the groom that brought even me to tears!
Big bulbed lights and colorful tissue pom poms (another DIY project) were hung from the gazebo and the tent over the dancefloor, making for such a fun atmosphere!
Jimmy Allen and the Reminder Band were amazing entertainment, and the dance floor stayed packed the entire night!
All the guests had an amazing night celebrating Amy and Max’s new life together!
Amy and Max, thank you so much for allowing me to be a small part of your special day. It was an absolute honor. I wish you guys a lifetime of happiness together!
