Birmingham Date Night: Daytime Edition | Pepper Place and Avondale Common House

My husband and I recently both had a free Saturday, which RARELY happens these days.  We snagged the day to hang out together and enjoy a Birmingham day date at a farmer’s market followed by a delicious brunch.

From April to December there is a huge farmer’s market at Pepper Place in downtown Birmingham.  When I have a free Saturday morning, it’s one of my favorite places to go.  It’s great to be able to stock up on fruits and veggies, grab some coffee or treats, and enjoy live music.  My favorite part is that every vendor at the market is a local small business and I certainly love supporting those.  This time we stocked up on some delicious fruits and vegetables for the week and some great steaks to grill.

After we couldn’t stand the heat any longer, we headed over to Avondale Common for a delicious brunch. This is a great new restaurant over in the Avondale.  They had an awesome Bloody Mary bar, other great breakfast drinks, and absolutely delicious food!  The food was amazing and super reasonably priced.  The restaurant is a fun, laid back place and they also have a great patio as well.  I definitely think it’s a place we’ll be returning to quite frequently!
